GRENADE GREEN FOREST DAWN
Beschreibung
The 74.6012/304 “Grenade Green Forest Dawn” by L’Épée 1839 is a provocative fusion of fine watchmaking and bold artistic symbolism. Inspired by the MK II grenade, it transforms a universal symbol of destruction into one of reflection — reminding us that time, not war, is the ultimate detonator. The piece’s sculptural form, rendered in deep anthracite grey and metallic tones, captures both industrial power and contemporary refinement. When the signature safety pin is pulled, it reveals itself as a key — awakening the clock’s mechanical heart. The twin rotating discs for hours and minutes move in perfect precision above the skeletonized calibre, emphasizing that even explosive design can conceal poetic serenity. Movement (Calibre): L’Épée 1839 in-house manual-winding movement, vertical multilevel construction; frequency 18,000 vph (2.5 Hz); 11 jewels; Incabloc shock protection; 8-day power reserve. Materials: Aluminum body and structural plates; palladium-plated brass and stainless-steel movement components; sand-blasted, satin, and polished finishes with protective lacquer coating. Color: “Green Forest Dawn” — matte anthracite and silver metallic tones with subtle dark contrasts across movement bridges and disks. Dimensions & Weight: 120.5 mm (H) × 77.6 mm (W) × 66.6 mm (D); approx. 620 g (similar to the weight of a real MK II grenade). Time display: Hours and minutes via two rotating black aluminum disks with engraved white numerals; time adjusted by removing and rotating the grenade-pin key.
Case: Grenade-shaped open frame with five horizontal plates and six vertical columns; matte anthracite finish with polished edges; integrated pin serves as winding and setting key
Dial: No traditional dial; skeletonized movement acts as the display surface beneath the disks; finishing alternates between dark metallic brushing and polished accents
